Our special Polyurethane sheathed
Power and Control Cords are made with industrial grade Orange POLYURETHANE sheathed, EPR Rubber insulated cable.
These cords are used for a variety of power and/or control uses. These special cords are: Halogen Free, Water Resistant, UV Stable, Extreme Mechanical Resistance: Cut & Abrasion Resistant, and has Good Chemical resistance (Oils, Grease and Fuels.) .
This range exhibits much higher retractability or “Spring” than the standard PVC cords.
Note: Because of the large number of possible configurations available, only a small selection of these cords are usually available from stock. Most configurations and larger quantities are coiled on demand.
Typically, we do 300mm, 500mm, 1000mm, and 1800mm versions.
That is the compressed length, and they can extend out up to 4 times those lengths.
(So a 1m cord would extend to 4m)
Plus they all have additional 150mm straight tails as standard.
These types are normally ORANGE.
But we do currently have a limited amount of 3 core 1.5mm², and 2.5mm² in BLACK.

These cords are rated to extend Three to Four times the compressed length ie up to a 4:1 Ratio. And if especially wound for it, some variations can be configured to extend much further. Some up to 6:1 Ratio or more!
These types are normally ORANGE.

Note: Unless specifically indicated, all curly cords are supplied UNTERMINATED.
When operated in the horizontal orientation, these cords are deemed to be `Self Retracting` When operated in a vertical orientation, the weight of the cord plus the weight of the outlet or other fixture will naturally make the cord partially extend.
